I had no direction
No plans of any kind
I was only merely existing
In what some would call their prime

Wanting to make everyone proud
But never had the drive
If I didn't want to help me
Why would you waste your time

Constantly walking in circles
Trying hard to find a straight line
Many opportunities were given
But to comfortable to change the daily grind

But now was never the time
If I wanted to change me
Id have to be on my own time

I was stuck trying to find me
When you had me in your hands
I was struggling to see the future
But you already knew my plans

Where I am now
You knew all along
I've taken a knew path
Down a road I'd never gone

What the future holds
You already know
New opportunities are given
And I'm ready to go

Cloud Nine

I'm always in like
But I'm never in love

My cup is half full
But it's never enough

I have no complaints
But my box is filled up

Looking for solid ground
At the foot of the bluff

Living in my house
But feel so far from home

The world is my now
Heaven is where my soul longs

Been to cloud eight
But I want to see nine

A penny for our thoughts
And a dollar for our time

All the money in the world
But it cannot save your life

I'm not afraid of dying
For death grants new life

A world that's made of love
Forever eternally with Christ

My heart is bleeding
Where my soul is feeding

Give me the serenity
The answers to this life

Until I reach home
Will I ever be satisfied

This world isn't my home
Heaven is where my heart lies

Nothing! But the blood of Jesus

I know you are here
Though I cannot see
You make me strong
In times that I'm weak

You are the air
That fills up my lungs
The blood in my veins
And the marrow in my bones

You are the reason
I awake everyday
You give me life
In your own special way

I'd like to return
The favor that you gave
But nothing can suffice
Dying for me on that day

The one thing I can do
Is stand up and say
That I am in love with you
And that I am not ashamed

What can take away my sin
What can give eternal life
Nothing, but the blood
Of Jesus Christ

Joy in the Rain

Your amazing grace
Has got me mesmerized
My only hope
Is where angels fly

My love overflows
Like a leaky pipe
But this world is
Sucking it dry

You satisfy
What all drugs won't
An eternal life
And an abundance of hope

If only everyone could see
Just how beautiful
This life could be

No more hate
No more pain
To find joy
Within the rain

To leave our sorrows
And rejoice for life
To respect every breath
And make well of our time

To trust our neighbors
And love our enemies
To help the homeless
Or anyone that's in need
To look past our differences
And see what God see's
Instead of indulging
In our own insecurities

Desperate for a change of heart
Right here, right now
Is a great place to start

Life is too short
For petty thoughts

Step outside of the box
And rise above

Use the time you've got
And just.....
